Hoodia is native to a narrow region of Namibia, on the edge of the Kalahari Desert.
Hoodia acts as an appetite suppressant. Appetite suppressants are drugs that reduce the desire to eat.
They can be used in the treatment of obesity.
Some appetite suppressants are only available with a prescription, while others are available over the counter.
